4 oz Wood Conditioner for Cutting Boards, Charcuterie Boards and Wooden Utensils
Regularly maintaining your cutting boards and charcuterie boards is important to extend their life. Without regular application of wood conditioner (also referred to as wood butter, wood paste and wood wax), your wooden products will begin to dry out and crack. Applying wood conditioner will hydrate your boards by penetrating into the wood grain keeping them from warping and/or building up mold.
Our wood conditioner is made from a blend of food-grade mineral oil and all natural beeswax. In fact, in my effort to support local small businesses, I purchase my beeswax from a local bee keeper.
Application
Use a soft cloth to apply the wood conditioner to the top, back and sides of your board. Rub it in in a circular motion and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, use a clean cloth to wipe off the excess, also in a circular motion. Wood conditioner should be applied whenever your board begins to look dull and feel rough. This will depend on how often you use your boards.
